The quality of your founding team matters more than anything else. Markets change, products pivot, but your co-founders are constant. I'd rather invest in an A+ team with a B- idea than vice versa. Look for complementary skills, shared values, and most importantly, people who can navigate conflict productively. The #1 killer of startups isn't competition or market conditions - it's founder disputes.
