Zepto/Blinkit should add a feature to auto-place order once the demand surge ends. As a user, I don’t want to keep checking the app. This could also increase cart conversions — many users won’t bother checking another app to see if it's delivering(for non-urgent orders ofc.).

But won't this reduce the app open rate and lead to fewer ad impressions and possibly less ad revenue? QC apps are increasingly becoming the new destination for banner ads, so it would logical introduce this as an optional feature, right?
