𝗦𝗮𝗺 𝗔𝗹𝘁𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 #𝟭 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁 & 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲 (𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗙𝗶𝘅 𝗜𝘁) Many smart and hardworking people make 𝐨𝐧𝐞 simple mistake: They work really hard—on the wrong things. Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, said: “𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐛𝐚𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐨𝐧.” 𝐈𝐧 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬: Before jumping into action, spend more time choosing the right thing to work on. Most people skip this step. They stay busy, check off tasks, and feel productive— But they never stop to ask: “𝐈𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠?” 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗽: 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠. Sam says: "𝐈𝐟 𝐈’𝐦 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦, 𝐈 𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐭. 𝐈𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐬.” Why? Writing helps you think better. It clears your mind. It shows you what’s working and what’s not. 𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀: Take time to think before acting Write to understand your thoughts Say “𝐧𝐨” to tasks that don’t really matter Hard work only matters if you’re working on the 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲. 𝐖𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐧. 𝐖𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫.
