Not all heroes wear capes. Some just pick up your calls at 11 PM and say, โJust come back home, Iโll take care of everything.โ Spoke to my dad again today. I was a little worried โ not about failing, but about what people might say if I did. About the education thatโs been invested in me. The hopes. The expectations. The โWhat does he do?โ kind of questions from society. And like he always does, he calmly answered with his soft tone, โTry as much as you canโฆ In the end, itโll all be worth it. And if it isnโt, just come back home. Iโll take care of you.โ Then he added something that broke me a little in the best way: โI donโt care about what society thinks. I care about my son and my family. Thatโs what weโre fighting for.โ Iโve read about parenting. Iโve seen reels romanticizing it. But nothing compares to the quiet strength of a father who tells you โ โEven if the world turns its back, I wonโt.โ This oneโs for the parents who donโt show off their love, but live it every single day.
