One day the boy realizes that the dog has ticks and he gets really worried. So he goes to his grandmother for advice and she said, he needs to give garlic to the dog to get rid of ticks. He tried giving it and it was an failure so he returned back to his grandmother worried that the dog is not eating it. You can't give it to it directly, instead wrap it in the ham and give it. He wraps in the ham he goes back to the dog tries to feed it and then the dog eats it and the ticks are gone the day. Moral of the story: You have to give people what they 'want' in order to give them what they 'need'.
