Market Research has to go. Controversial take, but hear me out. Most "market research" in startups is performative BS that confirms what founders want to believe anyway. People will tell you what they think you want to hear in focus groups and surveys, then do something completely different with their wallets. The best market research is building something and seeing if people will pay for it. Everything else is just elaborate guesswork. How many disruptive products would never exist if their creators had listened to "market research"? The iPhone would have never been built if Apple had simply asked people if they wanted a phone without a keyboard. True innovation happens when you build what should exist, not what people say they want.
