I've been moonlighting as a freelance designer for two years while keeping my day job at a marketing firm. Honestly, it's the only way I can afford to live in this city. My rent increases every year but my salary doesn't keep pace. Anyone who criticizes moonlighting is probably already financially comfortable or hasn't faced the reality of today's cost of living.
