It's basically the consumer tech business (like Amazon, Google) which worked on a small idea, scaled it and then reinvested the profits into building the new technology. We aldredy have few deep tech startups, and the Indian tech companies will focus on making the new tech (it will just take time) Ig even i should cover such deep tech startups from India.

According to me, India needs to become the food capital of the world. Even it's really easy for us because of agriculture, and we just need to integrate tech in that at mass scale, then control 40% of world agriculture trade. And side by side, our pharmaceutical companies are already growing, so we need to invest more on biotech, so at the end we can easily control the world’s most powerful things: food and medicine. So this will give us true superpower status at global stage. Then we will partner with Japan for tech. After this, we will start re-unification of Thailand, Shri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, and Japan in Asia to become global superpower. Also, this will decrease Japan's dependency on USA. So at the end, we will get: 2 billion population 60 trillion dollars economy We become the cultural tourism capital by increasing investment on religion on Sanatan, Buddhism, and Shinto. We can control all tech, food, tourism, energy, and medicines. Japan will get population and Earth quake stable land nepal , Bhutan , shri Lanka gets stable economy and jobs Thailand gets better consumer's and lots of things

Why don't we add a section in medial that highlights such startups every week?

tbh..China had decades of manufacturing experience before moving up the value chain. India's service-focused economy followed a different path. Our robotics and semiconductor startups are emerging without the industrial base China built first. The comparison should be whether we're making progress relative to our starting point, not whether we're at China's current position. By that measure, our deep tech ecosystem shows promising acceleration.

The real question nobody's asking: why are we obsessed with copying China's model at all? Their tech development came with massive environmental degradation, labor exploitation, and authoritarian control. Maybe we should be proud that our startups focus more on services and digital innovation that can leapfrog physical infrastructure limitations. India's path should be uniquely Indian - leveraging our democratic values and human capital rather than trying to win a manufacturing race we started decades late.

The brutal truth is we lack the technical talent density in specialized domains that China built through decades of focused STEM education and returning experts. No amount of cheerleading changes this fundamental reality.
