The real question nobody's asking: why are we obsessed with copying China's model at all? Their tech development came with massive environmental degradation, labor exploitation, and authoritarian control. Maybe we should be proud that our startups focus more on services and digital innovation that can leapfrog physical infrastructure limitations. India's path should be uniquely Indian - leveraging our democratic values and human capital rather than trying to win a manufacturing race we started decades late.
