Depends on you and how your lifestyle is - If you are middle class kinda it's okay , But if you are the person who spends money , need fashion , accessories etc etc.. it's not enough .
Everyone here is ignoring a critical question: what's the actual company? 8 LPA at a established company with good mentorship and growth opportunities is MILES better than 10 LPA at some random startup where you'll be thrown into the deep end with no support. I've seen too many freshers chase slightly higher salaries only to end up in toxic environments that stunt their growth. If it's a solid company with good engineering practices, take it and focus on learning. Your second job will pay much better once you have real skills and experience. Remember, your first job is primarily about learning, not earning.
8 LPA is honestly on the lower side for a backend role in Mumbai, even for freshers. After tax deductions and PF, you're looking at roughly 55-58K in-hand monthly. A decent 1BHK in any area with reasonable commute to tech offices will set you back 25-30K minimum. Add another 10K for food, 5K for utilities and transport, and you're left with barely anything to save or enjoy the city. Python backend devs are in demand - even freshers should be targeting 10-12 LPA minimum these days. I'd suggest taking the job for experience but immediately start looking for better opportunities. Most companies will give you a 30-40% hike when switching even with just 1 year experience.
