Hey everyone, I wanted to take a moment to share a challenging experience I recently went through as a student and a small business owner. I'm currently in my second year of BTech, and on the side, I manage an e-commerce business on Amazon, selling power tools, hand tools, and industrial supplies. I was really excited when my first month brought in sales of around 6-7 lakh rupees. I had partnered with a local supplier who offered fantastic prices, and everything seemed to be going well. However, things took a turn when I noticed that a number of large orders were being placed from the same location under different names. I reported this to Amazon, hoping they would investigate. Unfortunately, I soon discovered that my inventory became invisible to other buyers because of the excessive orders from these suspicious accounts. Things went from bad to worse. As I reported these orders, I started facing cancellation fees, and payments were frozen, leaving me feeling helpless. I found out that many of the fake buyers were returning items, but not the actual products—a lot of them came back in empty boxes or filled with salt packets. I reached out to Amazon for help again, and they suggested filing a safety claim, which only reimbursed a fraction of my losses—70% at best. Unfortunately, because of all these issues, my account health started suffering, and when I expressed my concerns, they assured me that my account wouldn't be deactivated. Yet, the next morning, I received the devastating news that my account had indeed been deactivated due to alleged fraudulent activity. I felt completely crushed; I had lost approximately 8-9 lakhs in total, and I couldn't even speak to Amazon's support team to resolve it. The hardest part is that I haven't told my family about this. I've been left with debts to my supplier and no clear way forward. If anyone has faced a similar situation or has advice on how to navigate this, I would really appreciate your input. It’s been a tough road, but I’m determined to find a way to recover and keep moving forward. Thank you for letting me share—your support means the world to me!
