This is absolutely outrageous. Every worker deserves time off for cultural and religious holidays. What you're describing isn't just poor work culture—it's borderline discriminatory. Companies that refuse to recognize important cultural festivals are essentially saying they don't respect their employees' identities and traditions. I'd be documenting everything and looking into whether this violates any labor laws regarding religious accommodation. And seriously, start looking for another job. No paycheck is worth sacrificing your cultural identity and family time. Companies like this deserve the massive turnover they inevitably experience.
