Religion tends to lose its grip as a country develops. My grandfather, who is now 75, spent around 40โ€“45 years working in Singapore. He often heard stories about how the country was once plagued by cultural and religious conflicts on a daily basis. But as Singapore grew, modernized, and its people became wealthier, the influence of religion started to fade. Today, it stands as one of the most advanced and prosperous nations in the world, proving that economic progress and education often lead to a decline in religious dominance.
