Social media, especially Instagram, has turned political discussions into toxic battlegrounds. Instead of meaningful debates, conversations spiral into personal attacks and religious conflicts, driving youth away from history and politics. This void is filled by Western narratives and pop culture influences. Films like Chhava and Tanhaji show a strong hunger for authentic history, yet no platform fosters objective discussion beyond party labels. Many forums oversimplify ideologies or push biased narratives, obscuring the true essence of left-right-wing philosophies. Even Reddit, once a hub for intellectual debate, now leans toward inappropriate and unproductive content, while Twitter is overwhelmed with fake tweets and shallow commentary. We need a space for rational discourse—where history, politics, and ideology are explored freely and critical thinking is truly valued. It is crucial that we reclaim forums for constructive dialogue.
