And when the market falls more than expected, these people panic and start selling. However, if you know the reasons why the market is falling, it will be much easier to control your emotions during that time, and perhaps people won't resort to panic selling.

Being a full time trader, my advice is that never try to find out why's and when's in stock market. Follow the trend, accept the result if you go wrong, dont try outplay the market, have a fixed risk, & stay disciplined with market. Why's and When's change from time to time, discipline remains.
