Some users also think of reels as a big drawback of insta .. earlier people were coming to insta for images of their friends or the influencer they follow, but they rarely are able to do so because of the huge library of content and users start doom

Exactly that's the thing... this also could be a marketing thing for meta's video editing app which they are planning to launch just to tackle Capcut's user base.

That could be fruitfull because it's a new field they're entering and could gain those types of audience too. Considering the use of reels and meta ecosystem. I think they can replace Capcut completely
