Honda's E-Clutch technology is a groundbreaking innovation that automates clutch control, allowing riders to focus on the thrill of the ride without the need for manual clutch operation. This system was developed under the leadership of Junya Ono. The idea emerged from Honda's pursuit of improving the riding experience. It addresses the common issue of stalling and fatigue associated with manual clutch operation, especially in city traffic or during hill starts. Function and Importance: Smooth Gear Shifting: E-Clutch uses a combination of 'half-clutch' operation, fuel injection cut, and ignition control to eliminate 'shift shock,' providing an ultra-smooth ride. Riders can switch to manual clutch operation at any time by using the clutch lever MV Agusta's Smart Clutch System (SCS): SCS also automates clutch operation but requires manual clutch use when starting the motorcycle. Honda plans to integrate E-Clutch into more models, expanding its reach to a broader audience.
