I long for the old India where there were plenty of opportunities, where applications were accepted without the need for referrals, and where companies were committed to providing genuine training. In those times, entry-level jobs truly meant entry-level and didn't require 1-2 years of experience. It was a time when people genuinely helped others to secure jobs, rather than engaging in engagement farming with comments like #interested. Today, the system feels more complicated and exclusive. The focus has shifted away from nurturing talent to merely ticking boxes. Instead of fostering growth and learning, we see an increased reliance on connections and prior experience. The essence of helping one another seems to have been replaced by superficial gestures aimed at boosting online engagement. The problem is that many HR departments seem out of touch with the struggles students face, making entry-level jobs next to impossible to obtain. They don't seem to understand the hardships students endure and how difficult it has become to secure these positions. Slowly, I am losing hope.
