dedicate 3-4 hours after your office time to make something on smallest scale. find a co-founder who can give more time. leave the job when you feel secure. if you're someone with tech or marketing expertise it should be easy to achieve as a side hustle. I did same years ago.

if you get time on Saturday Sunday, start validating whatever idea you have in your mind. once validated, hire intern for initial traction and once that is done, start thinking about leaving your job.

Best way for you is do it side by side for some time before traction revenue or funding

1. build some passive income streams 2. think about impactful ideas 3. once above both are ready, visit a few incubators and see if you can apply for any grants ? 4. if yes you can soon leave your job and focus on your new idea with a good mentor, find a suitable co-founder if needed. 5. if no grant is possible, try to plan the financial runway of at least 6-12 months and take a break from your job ( while you still have that passive income to support you ) The fear side will always be there, even giant firms have to face the fear side while initiating new projects. just plan how you can manage and minimise risk, no need to run away from them

'What if' I make it?

I would recommend Narayana Murthy's 70 hour work week. In that period remove the time spent in office work and work on your entrepreneurship opportunity you chose in the remaining time.

I am also in the same situation as you. But I think it is what if I succeed, what if today I'm doing bad but in some amount of time it will pick up and the business will boom. All I'm trying to say is that you just have to start, start small, start scared but just start. And the path will unfold in front of u.

Don't leave your job until you figure out what to build, is this really needed and your target audience is ready to pay for your product (what and how do your target customer think about the problem). And the most important "if you have the responsibility of your family" don't leave your job instead give 2-3 hours/day on product building or research (like sharan hedge used to) Make decisions wisely.

Along with your job you can think of starting something small because sometime a small idea can change a lot

I will suggest you don't be an entrepreneur first be a businessman and start a business first there is less chance of getting unsuccessful.in that if you earn well then start some clothing business or an service business property business and if you get success in business just implement your idea there is no risk then because of your backup business which will provide you funds for your startup

Start your startup along with job ! When you start earning well well or decide to go all-in then you can quit your job.
