A beekeeper was getting his honey constantly stolen by wild bears, and although he was incredibly frustrated, he turned it into a genius marketing strategy. You see, although Ibrahim Sadef from Turkey had been desperately trying to outsmart the bears for almost 3 years, he just couldn’t. When he first tried protecting the beehives with metal cages, the bears easily found ways around them. After losing $10,000 worth of honey, Ibrahim simply gave up and decided to make the bears work for their food instead . He started keeping different types of honey daily to experiment and see which honey the bears ate first to determine their preferred flavor. As it turned out, no matter the order the honey was arranged, the bears always went for the rare Anzer Honey first, known as one of the most expensive in the world. This experiment gave him viral publicity, allowing him to market his honey as bear-preferred.
