Someone bought the JioHotstar domain (before the merger) and wants Reliance to fund their higher studies in exchange for buying the domain.

Just saw an American startup received 2.5 million dollar funding but spent 1.8 million dollar in just buying domain. What do you guys think of this decision ? Is it worth it ?
