How many of you have ever rented a place for your to say where you had to pay security deposit. Did you get the fair amount of deposit back or landlord deducted a way too much? Did you want to save the deposit? How could you have saved it? If there was a friend who was willing to take your place and pay you deposit, would that have helped you?

ok so the issue is not one month deposit but sometimes owners will give you bt for giving back other 2 months deposit.

Yeah if a friend took over and paid the deposit to us it would have helped but then subletting is not allowed na. And also, that friend will still lose some money from the original deposti. Someone or the other in the chain will suffer.
