Perhaps it is a sample bias but I now know 5 people personally who have 15-20 years of experience but are unemployed for 6+ months or took a massive salary cut.
40s are turning out to be hard for a lot of people on the career front.
Usually we see that the trend that is rising today in the west or particularly in the US is copied in India and works in India after 2- 5 years maybe because of we are a developing country and it takes time for us to cope up with the trend
