This advice might help younger designers. It took me time to understand this. Titles like Principal or Senior Staff can be misleading and inconsistent across organizations. They're used more as motivational tools or retention strategies than true indicators of expertise. Real growth lies in solving complex, meaningful problems and translating your skills into higher compensation. Forget chasing titles-focus on mastering your craft, creating impact, and increasing your value.
