Guys, I and friend are about to embark on a perfumery and fragrance business. The idea is to formulate the fragrance ourselves and outsource the production. The pricing will start from 499, depending on the quantity and different notes. The fragrances itself will imitate notes of premium and expensive perfumes such as coco chanel penhaligons, sauvage, dior etc. However I'm bit skeptical about this as we would basically be a first copy of already famous fragrance, but with a brand name. The idea for the launch is pretty simple open a few small stores, kiosk esque and later franchise the brand to aspiring entrepreneurs. The model would be franchise owned and company operated (foco) with an emphasis on business-format. Further down the line we plan to develop an exclusive D2C site. The inspiration is drawn from Bella vita, but tbh I have doubts about their business strategy. So is this worth the time, effort and resources??
