simply to take over dunzo so that it enter the qcom race easily. See, starting your own qcom company will takw a lot of time as well as capital. thus it's better to aquire an existing brand to enter the industry, just like how Zomato did by aquaring Blinkit. but acquiring a company is very costly, so to avoid paying large sum. Reliance purchased the majority stake, using it's veto power to restrict it from raising funds which led to it's failure. Now they can purchase the full 100% stake at pennies which saves thema lot of funds
