What I have observed is that by paying attention to small details in any news, we can often predict the next big news. Let me explain with an example. Elon Musk was offered a seat on Twitter's board of directors after becoming the company's largest shareholder with a 9.2% stake. However, he didn’t accept it. Why? Because according to the rules, a board member isn’t allowed to increase their stake beyond 14.9%, and it wasn’t because Elon was too busy. A similar thing happened with Dunzo when Reliance purchased a >25% stake, giving them veto power over major decisions (which they eventually used). Tencent often takes about a 1% stake in emerging Chinese tech companies. While it might seem like a regular stake that doesn't give Tencent control over the companies. In China, even a 1% stake grants shareholders access to internal data and business insights. It’s fascinating how small data which we often overlook can carry so much weight. What do you think?
