I have a different perspective about this:- suppose a person is moving to another city for studies or a job. All people are new to him, also he has not joined any of the community groups from that area where he has settled. So your app can help him select the pincode and get joined to the respective community from that pincode. This can help him find new people, he achieves a sense of Belongingness. Also I would suggest changing the name of your app from hyperlocal to Apnelog.
