Hi I’m Pardeep, currently operate a meat processing plant that produces ready-to-eat meat products such as sausages etc. I’m now exploring the idea of launching an e-commerce store that offers: 1. Raw meat products like chicken, fish which may also include gravies. 2. Chilled processed products like salamis. 3. Cooked dishes such as prepared by restaurants USP of this store will be its combination of premium quality and affordability. Business model involves a base kitchen-cum-store supplying base gravies and semi-prepared products to service kitchens each catering to a 4 kms radius. I’d like your insights on the following: 1. Do you think this concept would be successful if launched in Delhi/NCR and then expanded to other metros? 2. Is it feasible to attract an investor willing to fund approx 1 cr in exchange for equity? 3. What challenges might I face in executing? 4. Any additional suggestions? Pls note that marketing efforts will primarily focus on social media. Thnx

One main challenge is the existing competition, Licious. How are you different from them? You said that your target audience is service kitchens. What method are they currently using and how is it better than your e commerce? My understanding of ecommerce is simply that you want something online you get it online. The existing setup of the service kitchens do not require such a service in my opinion, because their orders differ slightly day-to-day and they'll usually get the job done with a phone call. Ecommerce can work in the plane where the customer's needs are irregular.

B2B space should be the gameplay here. I created something similar offering exotic vegetables and fruits and did try B2C to realise that B2B is more reliable and profitable in the long term.
