I would be brother that you should try to balance it because whoeverytook the risk in history was calculated risk and as you said that you also freelancing, I think that in 4-5 years only being a freelancer wouldn't be good option because nowadays there are many people started the agency in where they hire freelancers and get them to work in project and earn.. so I would say that you should pursue what your parents and on the side you can try it also... for try something weather it will work or not is to just try early and fail and they see what mistakes you've made and solve it... don't take told much pressure on you life is big and not everything is right you see on social media don't compare yourself with other..
