Did you know Tinderโs retention graph flattens around day 15? Here are some key reasons why: - Lack of Matches & Poor Match Quality: Few matches or incompatible matches lead to discouragement and unengaging conversations. - Ghosting, Rejection & Superficial Interactions: Users face negative experiences from being ignored or unmatched, creating shallow, appearance-based interactions. - Tinder Paradox & Mismatched Intentions: Too many choices and conflicting dating goals cause decision fatigue and dissatisfaction. If Tinder does well to match users then they will lose 2 users simultaneously. My proposal? Let's drive engagement with interactive events and gamified dating experiences that encourage dynamic connectionsโshifting Tinder from a "boring text chat app" to a โdynamic connection appโ that fosters meaningful, non-appearance-based interactions. For couples, we could also introduce social pairing features to connect with similar Tinder couples, creating a space for fun, engagement, and real-world connections.
