In the entire ADANI bribery case, the REAL HERO is this guy (in pic) 👏👏 And yet we are hearing the least about him, even though we should probably be thanking the odds that we have politicians like him. He is Andhra Pradesh’s present and new Finance Minister - Payyaula Keshav. .. Keshav was a senior MLA of Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP when the Jagan Mohan Reddy-led YSRCP Government signed the mega deal with Adani Green. -> He was also the chairperson of Andhra Pradesh’s Public Accounts Committee -> And in line with his responsibility, he called out the COSTLY deal awarded to Adani by the State Govt in power -> He vehemently questioned, how the tendering process allowed a ceiling tariff of Rs 2.93/kWh which was almost 50% higher than usual tariffs seen during those days -> He also questioned the very basis of combining solar power plants and solar manufacturing plants in a single tender which ultimately LIMITED the number of participants who could participate in the tender, giving applicants the power to charge such high tariffs .. But, when his fight was seeing no outcomes, he did not stop. -> He wrote a 16-point submission of objections to the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission, which however set aside his petition -> He then followed it up with a PIL that is STILL PENDING with the AP High Court .. But, nonetheless, it’s nice to see that when in opposition, Keshav played his role well 👏👏 He called out the former AP Govt’s now-under-investigation deal with the Adani group and went to fight that deal end to end. It’s not his fault, that the AP High Court has been sleeping on a case of such high importance for more than 2.5yrs, while the State Govt’s bank accounts are bleeding big. Right? .. Anyhow, the fact of the matter is this: Adani is not yet guilty of anything. The AP High Court is sleeping on the case, as aforementioned. Meanwhile, the US courts have just accepted the case for full-throttle prosecution. And, I know, there is no dearth of people who think any question on Adani is an ATTACK on INDIAN SOVEREIGHTY and INTERFERENCE. Such people, who believe ADANI = INDIA would be seething with rage to rain down on me. So, I would like to add just two more facts here 🙏🙏 .. 1> The US court has not just attacked Adani. It also indicts a New York-listed power giant (Azure), and one of Canada’s biggest pension fund’s senior executives 2> Sane people know, Canada is a much stronger ally to the US than we are. And still, if the US court has indicted one of Canada’s largest pension funds, it speaks something more than just ANTI-INDIA motive And that said, if you still want to attack me, please be sharp. I have a thick enough skin. On that note, the doors are open 😁😁 ..
