31% protein is impressive AF but what's the cost per gram compared to traditional agriculture? Investors need numbers, not just cool science.

Since Rea Genics is hands on, on the project, I shall probably email and try to check with them if they intend to respond. 31% is scalable when a bulk drug producing reactor like bioreactor is taken into consideration. In land potato agriculture, costing for fertilizing a big land, tractors and harvesting expenses, seeds procurement every time, high use of manual labour or instruments are required. Moreover, use of harsh fertilizers like urea, etc. To extract protein from potatoes means logistics to chromatography and final product packaging units. Although tissue culture can grow a full size potato theoretically, it's best to enjoy potatoes from land agriculture. But if nutrient supplements are required, cell cultures are far superior.

Time of biosynthesis from a cell culture can be quicker. Simple workflow of chromatographic units added to a cell culture bioreactor can lead to inhouse production of nutrients and packaging at an allied setup. Many small units requiring small spaces are sometimes far more profitable. Also transfer of production facilities anytime is possible.
