Peter Thiel recruited Sam Altman, Reid Hoffman, Davd Sacks, Chad Hurley, and Keith Rabois. He also partnered with Elon Musk. By repeatedly asking these four questions, he's managed to pinpoint 20-somethings destined to become billionaires. Test yourself with these questions: Question 1: Tell me something which is true that almost nobody agrees with you on? In Thiel’s mind, this question vets a candidate’s ability to think independently. If you can be contrarian + right, that's a superpower. Question 2: How successful are you going to be? The trick here is to observe how much detail, confidence & enthusiasm there is in the candidate's answer. Question 3: Would you want to grab a beer with them after work? When Thiel was recruiting for PayPal, his goal was to create a company where incredibly strong friendships would be formed. Question 4: Do they have Zen-like opposites? Thiel values original thinkers who embody rare opposites. He believes talented people are polymaths.
