There is no ownership on ideas man, and sharing your idea in exchange of finding collaborators or opinions or suggestions on possible blindspots from people who might have tried it but failed is still a better bet compared to going in blind in your own echochamber.
How genuine to you feel is Cred? Is it worth the hype the founder has made or not? Is there any extra utility usage in cred compared to other old players? Let me know the customers(consumers) opinions.
