Convenience is what everyone looking for now. Most of the working professionals prefer to order from these apps instead of going to offline retail stores. For them Time is money and convenience is above all.

Don't you think that quick commerce companies will be able to bargain a similar to dmart price once they grow further in size?

Jio mart is cheaper than Dmart. I have compare prices when I went to Dmart and returned empty handed

the main upperhand for quick commerce is that people dont want to go to dmart and spend 15 minutes buying groceries even if they see 35-40% higher prices they feel okay because your getting delivered at home in 10 minutes plus the prices are not extremely high

I'll consider them when it's urgent, otherwise dmart is better

Quick commerces is a hype ride because it fits quite well into Indian Tier1 urban requirements, yet the market only partially captured. In the US DoorDash cannot defeat Walmart or 7-Eleven. We are fused with the adrenaline of delivery hype, making us feel online delivery is a replacement and the future Both have different target segment. One serving premium and convenience, other serving affordability. Both are not mutually exhaustive and will co-exist In a rapidly growing retail landscape, only a small share of traditional shopping experience is taken over by qcomm

I'd talked to ppl in my society who shop at nearby supermarket (these ppl have 30L cars btw). They say a shopping of 10k saves them 1.5k easily if done in supermarket. They don't want 10 min. Supermarket also does delivery to house, no extra charges above 400/-. If better price available, ppl will definitely go for that. Q-Comm is still for Ltd audience only.

India is only the market where the best product at the lowest cost works. Even tier 1 city prefers to visit Dmart only because of the large variety and cheaper price. And FYI D-Mart also has their app for online grocery shopping & I believe they will soon crack the market for instant delivery as they have their own infrastructure and they don't have a problem with stocks and placement. But in my personal opinion I don't think everything should be delivered under 10 mins. It's okay to wait even when we order food from Zomato/Swiggy we wait there as well for minimum 30 mins.

Dmart gives you a shopping experience whether you buy clothes or groceries. The only challenge is the crowd during weekends. But still my experience is always good.

mostly people or people from tier 2,3 doesn't care that they need anything in 10 minutes. they want offline feel that's why dmart is killing.. 🚀

While price is a key factor, consumer preferences are evolving. Quick commerce offers convenience, but Dmart can compete by expanding its online presence and product range. Ultimately, both models have their place in the market.

Dmart is also good at acquiring land at key spots. Qcomm players also have to acquire land in key areas to expand their dark store network
