Relying heavily on marketplace marketing can reduce brand independence and hurt profit margins due to platform fees, I think initially you should do pop up stores to see in person reactions and responses/feedback, then go with your own store and then if that works out too for scale you get lsited on marketplaces. So every channel brings in enough revenue and you don't have to rely only on one channel.
