the way i think of it is- go back to the covid times, the ones which didn't get replaced by the digitization/AI storm were the same old hard services, given that they are delivered with professional efficiency. People could only cut their own hair because they didn't have to appear in public. Other than this medical services, logistics, workforce etc couldnt be discontinued altogether. Having said that, i do agree with all the questions you have raised here. The service industry in India struggles to get its due recognition because of intangible contribution, may be.

Of course they will and have been since forever. Look around, everything that we don't absolutely own and keep with us in material belonging is a service that we are paying for.

because service is always taken as granted in india. time,skill, and efforts are never encouraged. 1. think that, do a electrion or a plumber is well respected?. 2. Why do service based companies fail in india? (Amazon, quick commerce (struggling to make people pay more) 3. do people who wants service can't pay for skill?. what are your thoughts. thanks for your time.
