Lame advice from a time when there wasn't a lot of "solutions" for every little problem. Now we are not working to solve the problem but instead, working to beat the other folks trying to solve the problem and be the best and the biggest and will need a product that people can depend upon since day one. It's not the 90's anymore when jsut having a .com was enough buddy.

I think you're facing competition right now, and you're approaching it from a tech perspective, meaning you're focused on coding. If you know the tech space, it's already saturated, so the standards are high. However, if you have a solution that people genuinely need, they will use your product, even if it's not perfect. If you're facing tough competition, reconsider your product or whatever it is you're creating
