I agree they didnt do their UI well, despite having a large design team. But separate apps could be another disaster when it comes to marketing and gaining users. I dont like using Swiggy simply because of their all in one home page makes more to sc See More

learn from Zomato I'd say . if you one extra service then no need for making seperate app but when you are launching multiple things , single app shouldn't be preferred for example looks th instagram threads they do have a button to go from ig to threads but threads doesn't openup in same app swiggy should have this to access all those from their app but it should open up as a seperate app and not within main app itself
