I have same idea to boost up normal market in to online market so normal business man can also get online customers

so is it like the store receives notification regarding the order directly from the customer and he packs n keeps it ready by the time the delivery guy comes to pick it up?

My father owns a supermarket so let me tell you a bit, profit margins for shop owner are low (10-20%) for fmcg products and high for other category like plastics, cosmetics, gifting, crockery and dry fruits (40-80%). From a shop owner POV, do we need this product, YES but only if it's a win win situation for me and you, so if you could crack the right balance between fmcg and the other high margin category, then you can think about it else it will be difficult and other challenges are already suggested by others in comments and If you want to go deeper into this, sit with a supermarket owner instead and get the proper insights of it. I think dark stores are not just a storage place, there is so much tech behind every dark store that makes 15-minute delivery possible. Implementing this with kirana stores will be a big challenge. There are many YT videos on the dark store model that should be studied for better evaluation of your idea.

Just to avoid this model zepto have adopted dark store model cuz they already know that it's aren't gonna work and will consume alot of time to deliver. Why don't you guys are focusing on EV sector? Everyone is going into quick commerce why don't they understand that upcoming big market will be EV market. Do something related to that.

Actually india kirana Stores will give less Customer Experience than Zepto and blinkit type - Undefined Inventory - Crucial Support - refund system Etc.. Although Less maintenance might be a plus point, or large kirana stores can be beneficial (but revenue model will be not so flexible)

It might also limit control over the customer experience compared to owning and managing your own dark stores.

It reduces overhead costs and leverages existing infrastructure, which might give you a cost advantage over dark store models
