Why has India faced difficulties in producing a mobile phone brand that can compete with international brands like the iPhone, Samsung,Pixel, or OnePlus?

For lower end mobile phones, we can't compete on cost with Chinese brands. And high end mobile phones already have established players in the market. If we have to compete we need something completely novel
