So baffling that copper prices are shooting because of war over beer! ๐๐ This is totally nuts. Yet, it is what it is. .. Congo, the worldโs No.3 producer of copper banned the import of beer from neighbouring Zambia. And retaliating, Zambia has barred trucks from Congo from entering and using its roads to reach Tanzania. And this is big because Congo is land-locked and needs access to Tanzaniaโs ports to sell its copper to the world ๐๐ .. This has therefore caused a lot of alarm globally. So much so that even the US has had to swoop in and put pressure on the two nations to restore things as they were. Crazy stuff! All over beer! .. Good news? Under the USโ push, the trade ministers of both nations are set to meet in the next 24 hours. Thus, a resolution is widely expected. Letโs see if the world gets one!
