What do you guys think about the Indian sports industry? We have literally 1.7 billion people in India but only a handful of them have made their name in International football, basketball etc. (except cricket) There are so many TALENTED individuals out there but they don't really have any kind of sports oriented platform which could actually help them showcase their skillset to the world. Imagine a platform where you could upload 5-10 mins of QUALITY highlights of different inter-college/inter-academy matches across different sports (Basketball, football, mma, boxing, wrestling). Ik the idea sounds very lame 😂 Feel free to roast me 🙂‍↕️

Sports differ from acting, dancing, or singing and don't command the same level of attention. While short sports highlights can gain likes on Instagram, they lack value for users, as they prefer the platform's vast content and powerful recommendation algorithm. Players and coaches can use Instagram and YouTube to attract fans and identify talent. Thus, it's unlikely that a dedicated sports app would succeed, as the interest in such a niche platform is limited and presents a challenge for scalability and user growth.

Interesting. I went to the startup incubator last week in Hyderabad. I have seen VCs, PE pouring tons of money on sports tech, sports startups. Try to build brother. All the very best 🥰
