If the record of owner of land is present, then we can calculate? Renting,leasing etc with that land(or any other asset) is irrelevant to calculate liquid wealth, do what you want with your asset. Our concern is only if his asset is liquid or not , and it should be in records. It seems complex because land is not recorded extensively. (specially in rural), so now digitization of land records started recently by govt. You get the point - it's complex because of poor data quality and collection, which is fault of Govt. , and not because it's calculation is complex.
