If I integrate clothing products with quick commerce and offer a unique service, such as allowing customers to order 5 to 7 shirts to their home to try on, and then keep the ones they like while the delivery person takes back the remaining items. Would this model work in India? Additionally, should there be a charge for sending the items to the home, or should it be a subscription model? Is there a market need for this service in India?

The concept is interesting, but the execution would be challenging. Quick commerce relies on speed and efficiency, which could be compromised if delivery personnel have to wait for customers to try on clothes.

I can see it working well in major Indian cities where people are time-poor but fashion-conscious. The try-before-you-buy model could really take off, especially given the issues with sizing inconsistencies across brands. I'd suggest a hybrid model - a small delivery fee for one-time users, and a subscription for frequent shoppers. This could encourage customer loyalty while still allowing newcomers to test the service. One challenge might be managing returns efficiently, so you'd need a robust logistics system.

It's great but the issue will be with the clothing sent back after trying it. Because many customers prefer new packed piece than the one tried by someone else. So the solution would be to just keep a separate piece of the clothing just for trial. And carry another new packed piece for selling. And about the subscription model- it may not work but as this is something new then it may work. My personal guess is that it will work. I may be wrong at both!
