Forget technical questions, I always ask: 'Tell me about a time you royally screwed up a project and how you fixed it.' Their answer shows problem-solving skills, ability to admit mistakes, and how they handle pressure. Plus, everyone's messed up, so if they say 'never', they're lying or haven't done anything challenging
