It’s not paying money to them. It’s spending money on marketing to attract women. Also, I designed it. Didn’t launch it. Because dating apps can’t be bootstrapped imo. You need a lot of money.

I see, but why you didn't try to raise funds. Also you can try to bootstrap it for initial few users using some creative strategies. Launching it in one campus only at the beginning. Also what's was the uniqueness of your idea?

I was matching people more on their professional details than personal details. I had an approval flow. Not everyone can get in. Funding should be used to scale after you’ve found the product market fit. I don‘t want to spend from day 1.

Idealistic approach - Only top 10% guys are getting girls. Rest 90% are struggling. I will fill this gap and help those 90% guys to get girls. This is against law of nature. Impossible to achieve. Pragmatic approach 1. Make something to add value for those 10% guys so that they become your repetitive customers. 2. Create illusion for those 90% folks that they can get girls. They will be one time customers only after that they will realize nothing can happen.
