I planned and designed a dating app, and gave up. The thing is it takes a lot of marketing money to get women on the platform. A Nikhil Kamath survey says - cost per acquisition is 1000 INR per woman. I would prefer something really cool in offline dating. That can disrupt in a good way.

I have tried all major dating apps. Problem of each app is same = demand > supply in countries like India. Even an average girl gets more swipes than she can handle. Average girls - 1k-5k likes per week. Attractive girls - 5k-10k likes per week. So they just look at the first 100-200 guys' profile in their right swipe pipeline and mental fatigue kicks in after that. The other way is meeting girls in social activities or gatherings like gym, dance, music, art clubs. This always works better than any dating app. Even here demand > supply but still you have better chance than dating apps. Atleast your profile gets visibility.

dating in india is very dangerous, indian law is stacked against men, they will trap u, accuse u the 3 pack crime package, and you have no way to prove ur innocence, and the only option left is to pay them whatever they ask for and hope they lift the case.....

Dating for the sake of dating or to cover up loneliness is just not worth it. (This idea would need a alot of capital) How about an app where you can just choose what kind of date you are interested in (for example: blind date , coffee date etc etc) Then wing man /women (which is the app ofc.) Arranging the date... This can be done by tieing up with cafe's & any adventure parks etc etc

So I have been using it quite a while back n forth between two years .if u r a boy even if u right swipe in bumble and the girl also likes u have to have premium to just see if the girl is pretty . Otherwise also they would not facilitate the talks fast like u took it for a week the gils would not answer it so the money u had spent u do not get value for it In case of hinge reliability is there then again cost is unreasonably high for a college student ,some incentives for college students can work . Credibilty is there. The real problem is even if sb takes subscription he does not get value for it .like if I sign up for a ₹600 webinar the person taking it makes sure he has given enough value in 2 hours .
