What could be the possible reason for middle-class millennials getting so excited about Gyan's WhatsApp status (unrealistic and cringe quotes) and good morning? The Gyan (quotes) section is very cringe-worthy and irritating, and none of them appear to be applying that Gyan in their own lives. I once saw the statement of Hike Founder on this issue, he said that they were close to making the first version of tiktok but they were early and what they saw people posting on their platform; same Gyan (subh vichar (quotes)) and good morning post from morning to night, and they decided to shut that down because they did not want to make a shit app anyday.

Maybe it's a coping mechanism? Life for the urban middle class in India can be quite stressful, so they turn to these quotes as a form of escapism or aspiration

A lot of it is just performative. People want to be seen as intellectual and enlightened by their WhatsApp contacts without walking the talk

I think it's a way for people to feel like they're being 'deep' and philosophical without having to put in any real effort. Sharing a quote is easier than actually living by those principles.

This is a smart ass statement, as you should understand there are several bubbles that are present in the society, that’s the peak level of content for them, and due to lack of time it didn’t evolve, due to which you think cringe, not for them tho.

There's a certain social pressure and FOMO aspect to it. If all your friends are sharing these quotes, you kind of feel obligated to do the same even if you find them cringy.
